I had +25 relation and had given them lots of influence (which means they get paid heaps) We were winning all our wars, and they just up and leave. Dog ♥♥♥♥♥ they are mercenary not vassal after all. If they are in your army it's very easy to get them back It just sucks I couldn't extend the contract, or tell when it would end. I am on 1.8. I’m pretty sure you can leave at any time as a merc no penalty. Just save scum if u need. Talk to your current king/emperor. In the dialogue options you can quit the merc contract. You are welcome.
Contract runs until you end it. If peace breaks out, you can bust bandits and looters and get paid for it until war starts again. If you have workshops in a faction and you are a mercenary for another faction, you will lose that workshop if your faction ends up in a war with the faction in which your workshop is located.
First - In the early game, stay the fuck away from troops who are not brigands and their variations if you don't have any companions. They are either mounted and will fuck you up or they have ranged weapons and they will 2 shot you easy. So focus on fighting parties of brigands, usually near Laria or Sarleon.

Is it possible to leave a faction without the penalty of -20 relation from all clans? Question Ive been both a merc and a vassal, but if i try to leave the kingdom by speaking to the king, i get -20 relation with every clan in the faction.

To attack a trading caravan, hold down the left CTRL key and left-click the caravan. You will notice that the cursor changes from the default hand to a sword symbol. Once you click on the caravan you will not be thrown straight into battle. You will get some information on the types of troops in the caravan and be able to confirm the attack or
So for those interested, what I have done is simply enter a mercenary contract with a faction that is at war with the one you want the castle/town from, siege it by yourself and just before the slider finishes building (just before the attack), simply open Kingdom panel and leave your mercenary contract (no penalties for mercenaries).

Becoming a mercenary in Bannerlord is a relatively easy feat, and ceasing to be one is even easier. To become a mercenary, you could have talked to any of the nobles of the faction. However, to stop being a mercenary in Bannerlord, you need to speak directly to the leader of the faction.

What happens if you leave a kingdom as a mercenary Bannerlord? As a mercenary, you're able to leave the faction at any time with little to no issues. Talking to the leader of the faction will allow you to break both mercenary and Vassal contracts. Leaving will negatively affect your relationship with the Lords of the faction, but if you are a

As far as i can tell, The game thinks merc contracts are the same as joining that faction as a lord. A bug i seriously hope gets fixed soon as it really ruins allot of the game play, having people hate you just because you left them when they ran out of wars to fight. A good way to do that is to take up a mercenary contract with the faction you like instead of becoming a lord directly. You'll be able to fight their enemies, increase your renown and also your relations with them. That last part is pretty important because when you do become a vassal, you'll need the support from other lords to be granted fiefs. lrYN.
