On reading reviews 2 things strike me - 1) the windshield appears very low (I've seen on here some have fitted 3rd party windshields with varying degrees of success. 2) The pegs are not in best position for taller riders. I did a 3 day 1000km (600 mile) trip last week on my G310 in the rugged and mountainous Southern Cape area. About 40% gravel mountain passes and the rest a mix of tar passes and some nice scenic road. Average fuel consumption was 29km/l (68 mpg). Below are a few pics of the trip.

Somehow BMW have managed to make this bike and the G310R (Rode both extensivley) induce confidence in leaning the bike over and dealing with the road. Brakes have decent bite. Unfortunately, the bike does not come with a windscreen and you get battered by wind on the highway, along with the light weight allowing for wind to push you around
