One good idea for getting there could be to take the train down to Lauterbrunnen, walk along the valley to Stechelberg then take the cablecar up to Murren. You can walk towards the waterfall, and even go partly up on a rather steep path. The main street of Lauterbrunnen can sometimes be a bit busy as Lauterbrunnen always attracts many visitors. The best lunch we had in Lauterbrunnen was at the restaurant of Camping Jungfrau. They serve local food, and you still have a view on the waterfall.

Some of the best views are from Murren—just walking from the train station through the town and then the trail from Murren down to Gimmelwald. I also enjoy walking down in Lauterbrunnen once you get past all the hotels. I’d keep your hotels as is.
